This duplex in RS5 is in reality a triplex. The units are divided by floor, with the top unit accessed from a front stair. The mid level unit also takes up the entire floor plate and has a separate lock off suite in the basement. This suite is wheelchair accessible. By targeting Passive House Certification, we were able to gain some valuable relaxations again to maximize the potential of the land. This is another transitional design project in a Design Guideline Zone with the property staying with the original family and providing multi-generational living.
